Entire Process Writing First Short Story – From Idea to Publication
Hello fellow creative,
If you’ve found this page, I assume you’ve seen my YouTube series on the entire process of writing my first short story. This is where I will document the changes the story goes through, and where you can read the different drafts.

The Platform Maze
From above was sky and below was dark. My feet trembled in the center of my personal platform. Fearful faces surrounded me as they stop atop their own personal pillars.
And someone screamed out, “There’s a clue here!” People gathered on the closest platforms to read it. Falling isn’t an option, how do we leave? So people searched for more clues and an answer on where to go. How could we escape?
Across we jumped, platform to platform, searching for freedom. While some had theories on what the clues meant, no one was successful.
And I found words engraved into the marble beneath my feet. Do you understand?
And suddenly it clicked and everything made sense. And it was daunting and unnerving but I chose to trust.
And over the side I jumped. Into the void I fell.
Until suddenly I wasn’t falling any longer. I was flying.
Some people jumped too and flew.
But some were terrified and remained forever on the platforms.
