Many people, especially bloggers, know how much Pinterest can grow your brand, blog, or store. However, it seems that there are still many, especially beginners, who aren’t aware or are unsure how to use Pinterest to grow their brand.
For my blog Pinterest has been my top referrer both last year (when I started this blog) and this year. It has allowed my blog to grow faster with little time spent sharing posts on multiple social media sites.
If you’re looking to grow a blog, a store, or a brand, knowing how to use Pinterest will allow you to gain the views and the growth you want to see.
Out of all the social media platforms, why is Pinterest the best for growing a brand? Well, simply put, it acts as a search engine as well as a social media site. People go to Pinterest in the same way they go to Google to find answers to their questions. If you want a quick fifteen minute dinner recipe, you can search on Pinterest and find exactly what you’re looking for.
Good quality pins will lead people directly to your site without ever needing to leave the app. And the less the viewer has to do, the more likely they are to do it. So making ‘to the point content’ for Pinterest will help to grow your brand.
Also, compared to other social media platforms, Pinterest requires little time commitment. This is in part due to the ability to automate everything, but we will discuss that more in the next section.
How To Grow Your Brand Using Pinterest
To grow your brand using Pinterest, you’ll need to create pins. To make this process easier and more efficient I recommend using Canva. It’s my absolute favorite photo and design tool and they have a free version that has everything you need.
You can create beautiful pins quickly and easily with Canva. (I do have a free Canva Pinterest pin template pack available if you’d like.)
Besides pinning your own pins, you’ll want to repin others’ as well. If you sit and pin and repin manually, it can get a little time consuming, which is why I recommend using Tailwind. This is the one tool I consider essential to any blogger, and is perfect for anyone looking to grow a brand through Pinterest. I spend about an hour a month scheduling all my content and then I can sit back and watch my blog grow.
Besides the reach of Pinterest, another reason it’s so great is because you can grow your brand faster using by joining group boards. Group boards allow you to get your content seen by a bunch of people all while getting support and building a community. Here is a wonderful resource full of group boards for all different niches.
If you use Tailwind you also have access to Tribes, which I find much more beneficial than group boards. These communities are often more active than group boards and I’ve found I get more engagement with them.
The best part is that you can join up to five Tailwind communities with a free account!
